Founded in Austria in 2025 by Dr. Jamie Hackett and Dr. Guido Gualdoni, Epitome is building on breakthroughs in epigenetic engineering to create therapies that can fine-tune gene activity with a level of precision that has historically been difficult to achieve. The company's platform is designed to enable durable and highly targeted modulation of gene expression, with initial applications focused on genetic and metabolic diseases where even modest changes in gene activity could have meaningful clinical impact.

Epitome combines deep scientific expertise with proven entrepreneurial experience. The founding team brings together leading researchers in epigenome engineering and experienced biotech operators with a track record of translating cutting-edge science into therapeutic development programs.

Why we invested

Many serious genetic and metabolic diseases are driven not by faulty genes, but by the way those genes are regulated. While advances in gene and RNA-based therapies have transformed parts of medicine, important limitations remain in achieving precise, durable, and controllable changes in gene expression. Epitome Therapeutics is tackling this challenge with a differentiated technology platform, strong scientific foundations, and an exceptional founding team. We believe the company is well positioned to contribute to the emerging field of programmable epigenetic medicine and to create significant value by translating pioneering research into meaningful patient impact.
